About Us
Biggs Hill Brittanys is about our family's passion for this extraordinary breed of gundog, the Brittany. We brought home our first Brittany, Cheyenne, in 2000. She was an instant member of the family. In 2006, we knew it was time to permanently add another Brit to the family. We were instantly drawn to Savanna, a cute little pup from a breeder in Northeast Ohio. Since then, we have welcomed two additional Brittanys, Dakota and Cherokee, to our family and said our goodbyes to both Cheyenne and Savanna. Dakota and Cherokee became the foundation to our breeding program.
After four litters, and to keep the Biggs Hill line going, we kept a female from their 2018 litter named Zia Sunfire. We also kept one of the male pups from their last breeding named Chippewa Gitche Gumee. Zia became our next dam with litters whelped in 2021, 2022, and her final litter in 2023. Chippewa will become a future sire to one of our newer pups, Arikara Sunflower; daughter of Biggs Hill Brittanys' Comanche Rebel Girl and NAGDC GFC AFC Sniksoh Hank's Hatch. On the horizon, we are also keeping a female from Zia's final litter, Kiowa Sundance.
We believe that each Brittany brings his/her own unique personality and hunting style to our home as they will to yours.
